The difference between PVC resin and PVC pellets

PVC resin and PVC pellets are two different forms of PVC material, each with its own purpose and production process.

PVC resin, also known as pure PVC raw material, does not contain any additives and usually exists in powder form. This raw material requires the addition of specific additives for subsequent processing and is used to manufacture various PVC products. Its basic state is unprocessed and suitable for industrial production processes that require high purity of raw materials.

PVC pellets, also known as PVC granules, are deep processed on the basis of PVC resin powder. During the production process, an appropriate amount of additives will be added, followed by a high mixing and low mixing mixing process, and then formed into granular materials that can be directly used for product manufacturing through a dedicated PVC granulator. This form of PVC is easier to process and use, and is widely used in the production of plastic products such as pipes, films, wires, etc.

Overall, although both PVC resin and PVC pellets are derived from PVC resin, pellets have an additional processing step in the production process, making them more convenient for industrial processing and product formation. Both have their own focuses in application, with resin being more suitable for fields with high purity requirements, while pellets are more suitable for daily plastic product manufacturing.
